Open only to legal residents of the 50 states of the U.S. (including the District of Columbia), 18 or older. All sweepstakes begin at 12:01 AM ET on February 16, 2023. Deadlines for entry for each sweepstake vary as specified below. A pledge in any amount within these deadlines results in an automatic entry. Subject to applicable sweepstakes rules, members of the Edward R. Murrow Society, WBUR’s major donor group, are automatically entered into all sweepstakes. All WBUR Sustainers are automatically entered into all sweepstakes. All times referenced are Eastern Time. To enter the sweepstakes without a pledge, visit www.wbur.org/sweepstakesentry and submit your contact information or send a 3×5 card with full name, address, phone number, and email address to WBUR, c/o SWEEPSTAKES, 890 Commonwealth Ave, 3rd Floor Boston, MA 02215. One entry per person. All entries must be completed to be eligible. These sweepstakes are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. By entering sweepstakes, entrant consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts for resolution of all disputes. Winner(s) will be selected in a random drawing approximately one month after the end of the fundraiser. Once submitted, entries become the sole property of WBUR and will not be returned. Winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or email. If potential winner cannot be reached after 10 days from first notification attempt, or if an entrant is found to be ineligible, or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such prize will be forfeited. Entrants need not be present to win. In the event the winner declines the prize or if the prize is forfeited as stated above, another winner will be selected. In the event the second winner declines the prize or if the prize is forfeited, as stated above, the prize may be designated for another sweepstakes or fundraising auction. Persons affiliated with WBUR/Boston University are ineligible to win. Winner may be required to sign a general release of claims and acceptance of prize, and a receipt. Winner is responsible for all taxes associated with the prize, including if the prize is forfeited after acceptance. No substitution will be allowed and prizes may not be redeemed for cash or other consideration. Winner will not receive difference between actual and approximate retail value of a prize. Prizes are non- transferable. WBUR is not responsible or liable for multiple entries completed or entered by other than human means or entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, illegible, mutilated, forged, destroyed, incomplete, garbled, lost, misdirected, mechanically duplicated, mass machine printed, postage-due, or otherwise not in compliance with WBUR Sweepstakes Rules and Regulations (and such entries will be disqualified). Prize is one (1) Shorts Travel Management voucher in the amount of ten-thousand dollars ($10,000 USD) which can be used toward reserving air travel, ground travel, hotel accommodations, and/or excursions, in accordance with Shorts Travel Management’s protocols and guidelines. Reservations must be booked before June 30, 2024 and at least ninety (90) days prior to travel. To redeem the voucher, travel arrangements and excursions must be reserved through Shorts Travel Management. After the winner has accepted the prize, WBUR will provide the winner with the voucher which will include the contact information of a Shorts Travel Management representative who will assist in making reservations. Price of travel reservations, hotel accommodations, and excursions may vary depending on location and dates of travel, subject to space and availability. Blackout dates may apply. If the amount redeemed turns out to be less than the amount awarded on the voucher, the difference will not be awarded in cash. The winner will receive an IRS Form-1099 in the amount of ten-thousand dollars ($10,000 USD). Any fees or expenses above the awarded gift voucher amount will be the responsibility of the winner. The following fees and taxes cannot be paid using the voucher and will need to be paid by the winner separately: departure fees, federal tax, state tax, local tax, meals, incidentals, gratuities, passenger tariffs or duties, airline fees, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges; personal charges such as alcoholic beverages, spa services, and internet usage, and security fees. Travel insurance must be paid by the winner separately and is also the sole responsibility of the winner to obtain. Any travel reservations and/or excursions that are not booked through Shorts Travel Management must be paid for by the travelers separately. Winner and travel companion(s) are responsible for obtaining valid passports and any other documents necessary for travel. If traveling with a minor, the winner is responsible for obtaining the appropriate parental permissions and releases. WBUR reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. The total prize is valued at ten-thousand dollars ($10,000 USD). Deadline to enter is Friday March 31, 2023 at 7:00 PM EDT.

In order to redeem the gift certificate, the travel arrangements must be reserved through Shorts Travel. WBUR will provide the winner with the contact information of a Shorts Travel representative who will book the trip. Reservations must be booked before December 31, 2023, ninety (90) days prior to travel. Actual value of trip may vary depending on dates of travel, subject to space and availability. Blackout dates may apply. If the actual value of the prize turns out to be less than the stated-on gift certificate, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Any fees above the awarded gift certificate amount will be the responsibility of the winner. Winner must pay departure fees and federal, state, and/ or local taxes, fees and surcharges at time of reservation. Excursions not booked through Shorts Travel, insurance, single room supplements, additional costs to fly from airports other than Boston, business class upgrades and any other add-ons are not included in the trip and must be paid for by the travelers. The gift certificate cannot be used towards meals; incidentals; gratuities; passenger tariffs or duties; airline fees; surcharges; airport fees; service charges or facility charges; personal charges such as alcoholic beverages, spa services, and internet usage; security fees; taxes or other expenses are the responsibility solely of winner. Winner and travel companion are responsible for obtaining valid passports and any other documents necessary for international travel. Winner and travel companion must travel on the same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. If traveling with a minor, the winner is responsible for obtaining the appropriate parental permissions and releases. WBUR reserves the right to substitute the trip for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. Total prize is valued at $7,000. Prize is an eight (8)-day, seven (7)-night trip for two (2) people to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, courtesy of Audley Travel, to be redeemed for travel between October 1, 2020 and April 30, 2021. The following blackout dates apply: Oct 23-26, 2020; Dec 20-31, 2020; Mar 12-17, 2021; April 2-11, 2021. Prize includes: (a) accommodation in a single room (double occupancy) for two (2) nights at the Titanic Hotel, Belfast; two (2) nights in The Alex hotel, Dublin; two (2) nights in the Killarney Royal in Killarney; one (1) night in Dromoland Castle; (b) two (2) private excursions in Belfast – black cab political tour, and a whisky trail; (c) round trip train from Dublin to Belfast; (d) tickets to the Guinness Storehouse; (e) private walking tour of Dublin; (f) shared musical pub crawl; (g) private transfer from Dublin to Killarney via Blarney Castle; (h) privately guided trip around the Ring of Kerry; (i) private transfer to Dromoland Castle; (j) ground transfer from your final hotel to the airport. All hotels are based on availability; in the case that there is no availability, a hotel of similar quality may be selected by Audley Travel. Audley Travel will also provide the winner with an airfare voucher of up to $1,500 to be used towards economy class roundtrip airfare for two (2) from Boston Logan airport to Dublin, Ireland. Winner is responsible for payment of any airfare or airport taxes that exceed this amount. Air and travel reservations must be booked through Audley Travel within forty-five (45) days of accepting prize. Requested changes to the itinerary are not guaranteed, will be at the sole discretion of Audley Travel, and any additional expenses resulting from these changes will be incurred by the winner. Winner and travel companion must travel on same itinerary and at the same time within the travel dates predetermined by Audley Travel. Space is subject to availability. Trip specifics are subject to availability. Winner agrees to accept Audley Travel’s terms and conditions for trip, which can be found online at www.audleytravel.com/terms-and-conditions , which involves all travelers signing and returning Audley Travel’s statement of agreement. Failure to provide this within five (5) days from air and travel reservations being booked will mean the prize will be forfeited and no substitution or credit will be provided. Unless child of winner, minors traveling with the winner must obtain the appropriate parental permissions and releases that are required for and must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. Winner and travel companion are solely responsible for obtaining valid passports and any other documents necessary for international travel. Winner is responsible for payment of all tax obligations. Optional excursions, insurance, passenger fees, additional costs to fly from airports other than Boston, business class upgrades and any other add-ons are not included and must be paid for by the travelers. Audley Travel reserves the right at any time to cancel or modify the Prize if, in Audley’s sole discretion, the Sweepstakes is not conducted as specified in these Rules. Audley Travel reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond their control make this unavoidable. Should the winner cancel after making trip reservations, the prize is forfeited, and no substitution or credit will be provided. Actual value of trip may vary depending on dates of travel. If the actual value of the prize turns out to be less than the stated value, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Total approximate retail value of prize is up to $12,100. The prize is not negotiable or transferable. Audley Travel will collect some personal information from entrants but shall only process the personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
